The 4th Annual “Taste of Adventure” to benefit Ronald McDonald House and Fellowship of Christian Athletes is scheduled for April 4, 2013 at Remington's in Springfield. The “Taste of Adventure” will include a full banquet dinner of wild game, including but not limited to, elk, quail, lamb and buffalo. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to taste a variety of unique cuisine. The evening will also include a silent and live auction as well as an adventure expo. The auctions will be full of equipment and trips for any outdoor excursion and the expo will include technique demonstrations and equipment training for all to enjoy and hopefully learn from! All of these elements combined are sure to make an exciting evening for every outdoor enthusiast!
KWFC's Anniversary Concert will be Friday, April 12th at the Dowell Fieldhouse on the Baptist Bible College campus. Featured artists are: Gold City, the Taylors and the Diplomats.
Prince of Peace Garage Sale to Benefit Least of These Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will hold its 7th annual garage sale to benefit Least of These Food Pantry and Clothing Closet in Nixa.
The sale will take place in the fellowship hall of the church at 815 E. FR 182 (E. Plainview Rd. between Campbell & National) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Clothing, small appliances, jewelry, books, toys, furniture, and other household goods will be among the items for sale. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. Purchases at the garage sale will help to meet the enormous need in Christian County. 40,000 pounds of food is provided by Least of These for over 700 families every month. Each family receives about 20% of their monthly needs, and it is often the difference between eating or going to bed hungry. $1 from you can buy $10 of food for struggling families in Christian County.
